Hi there,
I'm Aaron.
I've been a bit of an adventure seeker and collector of experiences most of my life. My adventures have spanned the globe from trekking in the Himalayas, backpacking in Patagonia, rollerblading across Germany (yes, really!), chasing auroras in Norway, and bicycling across the US.
While out adventuring, much of the way I experience the world is through my camera, trying to capture the beauty and wonder of my experiences. Although I couldn't tell you what I did last week or where I'll be next Tuesday, I remember every picture I've taken; when, where, and the story around the photo - which I always enjoy sharing.
In 2024 I traded an office cubicle 40 hours a week for open spaces in nature living on my own terms. In 2025 I traveled North America in my van named Kismet. For a little more about my vanlife adventure, check out my blog, or look through my 50 favorite photos from that trip. For 2026 the next chapter of the adventure sees me living in Yosemite National Park as a staff photographer for the Ansel Adams Gallery! If you're visiting the park, come by the gallery and say hi. Then sign up for one of the photo classes I'll be leading in the park.

Thanks for visiting, and enjoy the ride!
Exploring the Open Road
Me, Kismet, and a Map
The idea of trading in business casual and daily status meetings for hiking pants and coffee on a mountain top has been percolating in my mind for several years. Last year I finally made the leap and set out on my adventures.
My home away from home is a 22' ford transit van converted to an RV. On my first tour I covered 21,000 miles through most of the western US and parts of Canada.
For a great breakdown of the trip, check out my blog post: Vansplaining'
My second tour takes me out to California in the footsteps of photography pioneer Ansel Adams. I have the privilege and honor of leading photography workshops through the Ansel Adams Gallery while spending most of the year living in Yosemite National Park.
Follow the blog for ongoing updates on the next leg of my adventures!
